New Fall Hours????

The Frost on my lawn this morning and the diminishing daylight might be an indicator that fall is here.  We need to set a new time Sunday.  When would be a goodtime for everyone?  Please leave us comments and we will try to schedule a time that works with the majority.  Also our one year anniversary of playing bike polo is this month.  Maybe we can have a vintage game on the grass at Camels Back with mimosa's in celebration.

Monday Night Fights

Civic Plaza. 5:15 in the PM.
Early start time due to the stellar defense of the darkness.
We may have some guests from out of town throwin' down.
Either way we'll play.

Return to the Northside

The surface at Civic P doesn't drain too well so we will be at
North Jr. today at 5PM.
We can use this as a little tune-up for tomorrow's matches with the Bike Porn crew.
More info on that will be posted here later but it's tentatively scheduled for 5-8 at Civic Plaza: PDX vs. BOI. Bike Porn at the Red Room afterwards. Hell jeah.

Thursday Polo.

Well word on the street is that we'll be playing some polo on Thursday 7/31 (tomorrow). Yeah, it's true. We'll be at Civic Plaza at 6p.m. playing some games and bidding Megan farewell. This will be her last bit at Boise Bike Polo before moving on to Portland and some 503 polo action. I'm sure she'll show 'em how it's done. Go get 'em tiger.
So come on out and, once again, tell your friends. We're looking for new players so if you know someone who likes to ride their bike and who may enjoy some friendly competition bring them out.

Monday, July 28, 2008

Fortunately we haven't had to deal with this yet. Hopefully Patrick doesn't get any bright ideas.

Le Polo Action

Super good turnout Sunday. We have come to the conclusion that the Civic Plaza is the spot. We will be playing here on Sundays at 6pm. We play pickup style so we are always looking for more recruits so don't be shy. Come down and play. We have extra mallets too.

Sunday, July 27, 2008

La Plaza.

Polo today. 6p.m. Civic Plaza on Front St. across from Georges Cycles. Caddy corner from Winco Foods. Tell your friends.

Sunday, July 20, 2008

El Polo Loco

Todays Polo games will be taking place back at North Jr. High at 6p.m. I have it on good authority that this will be Megans last day of 208 polo before heading off to Portland. So bring your smiles and good wishes for Megan and maybe the celebratory can of beer and don't forget your mallet.

BBQ and Farewell

Come play, BBQ and send me off on Sunday. If you haven't heard yet, I've taken a job atCyclone Bicycle Supply in Portland. I'll be flying there on Tuesday to take up residence. Megan will be going with me for a couple of days. then she will be back to sew things up with Hammer. Hope to see you at Ft. Boise Mid High starting around 5ish. Bring your own grillinz, beavie and a side to share. OH yah, and a taste for polo, too!

Sunday, June 22, 2008

We'll be doing it, and doing it well at Ft. Boise Jr. High's play ground. See you there 5:30 or 6.

Not So...

RIP Mt. Cove spot, oh how we loved you so! It was a sad phone call for Winkleford to Megan the other day. The surface at the cove is now deemed unsuitable for play. Where to now, kiddies? The Civic Plaza spot seems the likely. So it shall be, I guess.

(Clck the link over ---->there with all the others for more info) While after partying, get with Patches or Artimus to find out the deal for polo this weekend. The wife and I are off to Seattle and then Mt. Baker to festivity partake for some wedding action. See you next week, and have some fun.

Sunday, May 11, 2008

We'll be playing. Bring your (favorite) Mom.

Dear Mutha Nature and/or Baby Jeebus

Please bespoke us with the great weather you can be renowned for this Sunday and every one that follows until further notified by me, K? Anything less will be considered bull es and not tolerated.

Sundays, 3:30pm (ish), unless the weather is not cooperating. Just don't blame it on me.

Here's the rules from Worlds up in Toronto. Watch them ridiculous high sticks as well.

Today, bring your own grillinz, even if you can only afford a turkey neck. Mt. Cove @~3ish.

Friday, April 4, 2008

Let's give this a go...

Mt. Cove High parking lot. I know it's not the hub of North End dream timey spot, but we're vagrants. We'll give it a shot, and if it sucks we'll try another spot that is very, very near by. Sorry if this throws anyone's knickers in a knot.

And on a side note, last week I know that there was two calls made to the service counter at George's downtown. Here's the rub down: Don't. Pretty soon them bike geeks will be up to their necks in the crazyness of trying to make everyone's day when their Sunday Greenbelt jaunt goes awry due to catching a flat, or whatever else. Let's not present a situation where someone's feelings get hurt because someone else was short with them on the phone. Get to know your fellow players, get phone numbers, and don't forget- you are in charge of your own reality.

See you Sunday, if not sooner. I'd expect folks down there by three for sure, if not sooner. Till then, go get rad.

beep beep be beep... news flash...

As we all know, 208 bike polo is always looking for a new home. Recent developments point to we have all but worn out our welcome at North, and with the weather on the up swing we can expect to see the basketball courts there will start to see more usage of their intended nature. There are some irons in the fire as far as us getting a more permanent home, and at this time I can only say that within the next couple of weeks there just might be some good news.
Enough about that. Tune in tomorrow, here, for the location the will probably be our next temporary home.

Saturday, March 22, 2008

North doesn't seem too bad. Thank Patchez for volunteering to make sure the grounds will be worthy of play. (hehehehe)
Seriously, we can make it work, and Washington is pretty dinky. If it totally sucks, maybe we'll just take it back to them old days that we played on grass. Ah... To reminisce... 1:00, or 13:00 hrs for you military types.

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Sorry Patchez
Didn't mean to make you scuured.
Polo on Sunday
You all know the drill.
Warriors come out and plaaayay!!!
Barnes knows a little about it.

Sleep tight till then, kiddies!

Back From The Dead

That's right, kiddies. Easter weekend. What day shall we play? Sunday? Saturday? Start putting your votes in on the comments page, or you may fall victim to having a choice made that you may not like. Maybe you don't care. Maybe you just need someone to decide for you, I don't know. If you can't make it, fine. If you can, cool. Just don't say we didn't give you a chance to give your $.02.

Saturday, February 23, 2008

It's that time again, kiddies. The Liverdance, brought to you by the Warlocks Bicycle Club. Which, in turn, makes us here at Boise Bike Polo start thinking about a tourney. Word on the street has it that we'll be seeing some folks from out of town for the race. Shall I venture so far as to say...? I don't know. Rough Draught Tournament just might take place early the Sunday following stay tuned, as we'll surely keep you updated here as to wether or not I can get my shit together on this bold move. In the mean time, you just might be asking yourself, "Who is that hideous figure situated in between the evil leprechaun and the Lucky Charms dude?". Please allow me to introduce you to the one and only Shane MacGowan, the once abolished front man to one of the greatest bands of all time, The Pogues:

You Know This!

Go get yourselves some, Tink will be at North @ noon thirtyish with the gear. Murder Murder Murder and Kill Kill Kill.

Saturday, February 9, 2008

Check it Out

Found this this morning, gootoobing, getting the stoke on. The polo doesn't start until the 8th minute or so. But we'll all learn just how fucking lazy we are. Um... So check it out, sauerkraut. (Who wouldn't give a nut to have that court?)

But then there is this, which will inspire my mallet today. Don't fuck with Tuco.

Thursday, February 7, 2008

Damn, Keo!

I'm officially not a painter anymore. I've decided to kill 20 mins or so over at ewetoob, and found this little ditty from our friends over at Cadence in Seattle. I've had the pleasure of watching Keo fuck around on his bike for about half an hour at Case's birthday bash last year. Pretty sick.

By the way, we're playing Saturday.

Saturday=The New Sunday?

Well, it's been kicked around a little bit. Let's sound off on Saturdays being the new Sunday for a bit. Thoughts? If you don't feel like commenting on this here, let's talk a bit at the Inversion Excursion III. What's that you say? A nice little ride put together by or friends the Velo Pirates. And don't be put off by the 'Cross part: Cody and Jason always put on a fun race. See you there, suckas!

Good Gravy

Let's play. Today. N. Jr. High. If you can come you should! Luckily, I'm such a noob at my job that I don't have to go to the company meeting. Sorry to all my coworkers that do. Any hoo- see ya all @ noon? Here's a little something to get your pump up on with:

Somebody Gets It.

Sometimes I wonder if we understand just how complicated we make this simple life. It doesn't always have to be. There doesn't always have to be a destination.
